Church on Sunday

朝食をすましてからのコーヒータイム。いつものように編み物をしながら今日の予定を考える。コーヒーを飲みながら、行ってみたいところに思いを巡らす。

I’m finished with breakfast and enjoying a cup of coffee.As usual, I think about how to spend my day while I knit.I think about where I’d like to go, as I take another sip.

Gingko trees in the park

休日の午前、目覚しもかけずにベッドでゆっくりと。街中を散歩しながらブランチをとることに。いつものカフェで食事をしながら、今日の予定を考えてみる。

It’s my day off, so I get up late.I walk around town and stop to have some brunch.I eat at my regular café and plan the rest of my day.

手袋
Gloves

編みかけの手袋を、お気に入りの音楽を聴きながら。すぐそこの冬に自分で付けたい手袋をイメージしながら編んでいく。明日から少しずつ寒くなるみたい。

Listening to my favorite music, I pick up a partly knitted glove.Imagining the type of gloves I’d like to wear this winter, I continue my knitting.They say it’s going to start getting cold next month.

Taking up crocheting

お休みにしては早起きした。窓の外は薄曇り。穏やかな春の始まりと共に、今日からかぎ針を始めてみようと思った。

I’m awake pretty early for a day off.The sky is overcast outside my window.With the beginning of a balmy spring, I think I’ll start crocheting today.

森の散歩
A walk in the woods

この前から編んでいたニットキャップ。 上手く出来たから、休日に早速一緒にお出かけ。 朝から天気もいいので、近くの森に新鮮な空気を感じに。

I started knitting a cap the other day. It turned out nicely, so I’m wearing it out on my day off. The weather’s good today. I think I’ll enjoy some fresh air in the woods.

午後の編み物
An evening of knitting

午前中にお出かけをして、入ったお店でニットの照明を見つけた。 一目惚れしたその照明を、すぐうちに連れて帰った。 明りを灯してみると、柔らか光が部屋を満たしてくれた。

While I was out this morning I found a knitted lamp in a shop I dropped into.It was love at first sight. I brought it home without delay.When I turned it on, a soft light filled the room.
